Multiple Missing Teeth Might Be Replaced by a Dental Implant Supported Bridge

Posted .

Losing multiple teeth to a severe oral trauma or untreated tooth decay can leave a significant void in your mouth. Not only can this hamper your ability to efficiently chew food, it could also affect your speech and leave you feeling self-conscious about your mouth’s appearance.

If you find yourself in a situation like this, you should consider setting up a consultation appointment with one of our dentists, Drs. Dickey and Conley. After assessing the severity of the situation and the overall health of your mouth they might recommend installing a dental implant supported bridge.

There are different phases to this treatment plan. It starts with inserting a pair of small titanium dental implants into the underlying bone tissues. Over time the natural process of osseointegration will fuse the titanium material with the living bone tissues.

Once this has been achieved, the dentist will install an abutment onto each dental implant to provide the structural integrity necessary for supporting a dental bridge. The requisite dental work will be created in a state of the art dental lab.

Once we cement the dental bridge in place with a strong dental grade adhesive it will allow you to enjoy the natural function of your missing teeth.
